More Feathery things

OK, here are some other earrings that I made with my Lovebird feathers and the black and white feathers came from a Wild Wood Pecker that Likes to hang out in my yard. He was nice enough to give me some of his feathers too!!      The middle pic here are 2 of my seven Lovebirds that earn their keep by giving me a feather or two now and then. I have managed to save lots of them for making jewelry. I have Cockatiels  , 10 of them that throw out some pretty nice feathers too. Hopefully I'll get some sample's of those out too very soon. But for now, here are a few of my recent makes. Oh by the way, these smaller earrings or I will say less complicated feather earrings sell for $20 to $30 dollars a set. If  you have a special color or design in mind all you have to do is ask me and I will make what ever it is you have in mind!!    Just send me an email!!  luckyjada@gmail.com

The jewelry biz is very slowwwww but I am still creating

It's been a while since I have added a post here at the blog station.  But to find time for every thing is so hard.  I  maybe,  I take on too many things at once and I give just a little bit too little to all that needs more. Well if that makes any sense, great!!!  I am thinking about making some new jewelry pieces and adding more to my website, it really needs updating and some fresh stuff. I have plenty of new pieces to add , Lord knows and I just wonder do other people have a hard time selling online?  There is an awful lot of competition out there and I know that my jewelry is nice, but I am not getting even a nibble!
Here is a pair of earrings that I made last month!
These are made with the feathers of my very own little Lovebirds and they sell for $75.00
This set here is a sample of custom made to order where you can pick the colors you want for the beads or crystals and ear wires gold or silver. I make the jump rings to match the colors of beads or crystals that you choose and for a set like these There are 5 feathers for each earring.

A Sample of my Jewelry

This is one of my favorites. It has a beautiful chunk of Jade as the center piece and different pieces of Jade as well as Freshwater Pearls and Swarvoski Crystals decorating this necklace. It has silver findings and spacers too! I am just starting to add lots of pictures 0f my jewelry to show the Internet world in hopes of sales. It is quite hard to get this business going as with any new business I suppose, and the fact that people aren't spending too much money these days it is hard to make a sale. I enjoy making jewelry and don't depend on the money, I get more satisfaction out of people loving my handcrafted jewelry enough to spend their hard earned money on it!

How's bizzness????

I am the moon Tarot card

You are The Moon

Hope, expectation, Bright promises.

The Moon is a card of magic and mystery - when prominent you know that nothing is as it seems, particularly when it concerns relationships. All logic is thrown out the window.

The Moon is all about visions and illusions, madness, genius and poetry. This is a card that has to do with sleep, and so with both dreams and nightmares. It is a scary card in that it warns that there might be hidden enemies, tricks and falsehoods. But it should also be remembered that this is a card of great creativity, of powerful magic, primal feelings and intuition. You may be going through a time of emotional and mental trial; if you have any past mental problems, you must be vigilant in taking your medication but avoid drugs or alcohol, as abuse of either will cause them irreparable damage. This time however, can also result in great creativity, psychic powers, visions and insight. You can and should trust your intuition.

My New Career

I have finally found the most exciting craft that I have ever tried in my life of searching for a job that I could make a career out of. Last year I started making jewelry, pretty much for just myself to wear and I started getting compliments on the things that I made. My mom sugested that I make jewelry to sell on Etsy. She told me thay the bracelet that I was wearing looked like the kind of things that she saw on there. Well I took a look myself and saw alot of handmade jewelry that did kind of look like my designs. Well, needless to say an idea was born. I have done sales before and this would be worth trying, if I didn't sell my jewelry I could always keep it for myself or give it away as birthday and Christmas presents. I started collecting beads and crystals and supplies for making jewelry and its working! I have been to a few arts and craft shows and sold my jewelry there. I now have my jewelry selling at an antiques and specialty shop and I am building a website for internet sales. I have some of my pieces for sale on Etsy and things are moving right along. Now I am going to have a Blog to tell the world about my business. This is very exciting and rewarding because I have searched a long time to find my niche. I never thought I had such talent and the designs that I have made are very beautiful. I get alot of compliments and that is a real ego booster. If you are interested in looking at some of my pieces for sale you can check them out at www.luckyjada.etsy.com
